| #92 Darrin Davis |
| Bio:Darrin Davis is a 3rd generation racer from Jacksonville Florida, he grew up in Lake City and is a 2004 grad. of Ft. White where he was a 4 year varsity offensive line starter for the Indians. His grandfather Eddie Davis raced the ole jalopy's at the OLD Jacksonville Speedway Park off of Lenox Ave. here in Jacksonville. His dad Wayne Davis raced the Modified Sportsman (skeeter) cars, Late Models, Sprint Cars and Mini Sprints at Lake City Speedway, the old North Florida (Columbia), Thunderbowl Speedway in Valdosta, Jax Raceways and all over the southeast where he had many feature wins. Darrin started racing at 5 years of age at the Jasper Motorplex. When his dad moved to Indiana Darrin would race up there at Windfall Speedway during his summer visits. At the age of 15 his dad and a friend purchased a sprint car for him to race with the FSCA (Florida Sprint Car Accissition) after 5 races and at end of the 2002 season, it was decided that he should focus on his school work and football. In 2004 Darrin came to live with his dad in Jacksonville and they decided to race quads, XC racing with FTR (the Florida Trail Rides). It was fun being able to race through the woods at a high rate of speed and doing this as a family where his step mom Kari was the 2007-2008 Womens Utility Quad Champion. Something was still missing....going around in circles...so we bought a couple of karts to race at the beginning of 2009 and have raced them with many wins at Callahan Speedway...After going to the All Star show at Ocala and seeing the FMSA there we said then that this was direction we wanted to go....a good family atmosphere, very competitive racing and not quite as expensive as the big sprints...so we got this ole Bailey and here we are....now for the rest of the story!!!!! |
