About The Florida Mini Sprint Association

The FMSA was established about 14 years ago by a couple of guys that wanted to find a family-oriented economical way to go sprint car racing.  These cars are a scaled-down sprint car with 600cc and 750cc sport bike engines, they run on racing gas or pump gas, carbureted or fuel injected, and are between 100 to 130hp.  All cars run on 10" wheels and weigh about 750-900lbs.  They can reach speeds in excess of 120mph at some of the bigger tracks.  Used cars range in price from $3500 to $8000, and a new car can run about $12000.  The Florida Mini Sprint Association is a group of people that love sprint car racing, and helping each other on and off the track.  We have 31 members traveling across Florida and Georgia to an average of 25 races spread out over the South East United States.  The present tracks that we will be racing at in 2004 are: East Bay Raceway Park-Tampa, Florida , Thundercross Motorsports Park-Okeechobee, Florida , Volusia Speedway Park-Volusia County, Florida , Putnam County Raceway-Palatka, Florida , Cochran Motor Speedway-Cochran, Georgia , Hendry County Speedway-Clewiston, Florida , and Orange County Raceway-Orlando, Florida.
